It was supposed to be their beach day. But he knew it was not a good idea to use "that" for transportation, he knew it wasn't; so why in Bahamut's name did he go along with it? Oh that's right, because whenever his clan mates Shirma and Croma does something he just had to tag along; and he is an idiot. At least that is the last thing he thought when he became blinded by the big flashing light.

~*~*~*~*~*~

Chocobo woke up wondering what he was doing or where he was other than he was lying on something soft and from above he saw a bright blue sky. He was outside? As for where he was at the moment, after sitting up and found he was sitting in a pile of hay.

Chocobo         (Thinking) Wh – where – ?

He raised his hand in attempt to touch his head when he felt something covering his face; a mask of some sort? He looked down and also saw he was wearing odd clothes as well; none of them were what he was wearing before. He should at least take off the mask but . . . despite it made his vision a little darker he could still see perfectly well. Plus he didn't know where he was and didn't know what he would encounter so he left it on as a means to conceal his face. He doesn't know if it would help and he might get a few stares if people saw him as well but he's willing to try. He stood up from the hay stack and while he was brushing the strands of straw off him he saw his large pouch (which he found his personal effects inside) lying on the ground next to him.

After securing his bag over his shoulder he decided to take a look around his surroundings. From where he stood he saw broken stone pillars and the remains of an ancient house; some kind of ruins perhaps? He walked out from the ruin onto a vast grassy plain where dirt roads crisscrossed the grass towards even more of ancient ruins dotted across the field. Tall, stone columns were everywhere, either standing dignified as they used to be or had fallen making makeshift benches. Remnants of brick houses or crumbling stone buildings and structures showing evidence of a great but ancient civilization fallen to ruin. Fascinating as it is, but it still doesn't really tell him where he is. Walking along one of the roads he then began to look to see if he could find somewhere high enough to get a better view of the area as well give him a clue as to where he was. He found a hill that seemed to go quite high so he decided to climb it; it took a while because it was a bit steep but after reaching the top he could see quite a distance. But what he thought to be a site of an ancient ruin was actually merely a piece of an even greater setting. From beyond the field he could see the sight of a large city stretching for miles ahead surrounded by a great, imposing stone wall encircling both the city and the field like a fort.

Chocobo         . . . . . . . . . . . . (Thinking) WHERE AM I?!?!

2 Hours Earlier

Chocobo followed Shirma and Croma down the hall into the room where the Earth Guardians keep their machine that creates portals that leads to the desired location. While the Doors serves as the guardians' main method of travel to other worlds they only lead to worlds that are connected to the Doors which limits the travel distance as one would sometimes have to pass several doors to if their destination is a long way. The Machine, on the other hand can instantly transport anyone to anywhere they want without having to pass through the doors, handy when one needs to be somewhere quickly. But even that has its problems and limits as it cannot transport anybody or anything to a world when the path (or door) to that particular world have not been unlocked yet.  Another problem would that sometimes it can get fickle and the passenger unlucky enough to be caught in it would be transported to a world chosen at random. Sometimes the machine would fail to show where that person is transported to. Because of this, even with its swift transportation, it is often unreliable and risky and often used when necessary. Why is Chocobo talking about the Machine? Well it just so happens a mere few minutes from now he would be that so – called unfortunate passenger to random world travel.

Shirma         Croma are you sure you gotten everything?

Croma         Yes, yes; I've got my beach ball, beach umbrella, my float.

Shirma         Sunscreen?

Croma         Yes that too.

Chocobo         (Thinking) Are you sure it's a good idea for us to use this? I mean we're only going to Great Bay.

Croma         For the tenth time already yes it's a good idea. Besides it's much faster to go through this than the Door.

Coming from Croma it was never reassuring; that boy was brash as he is stubborn as an ox. He approached the machine and started pushing to buttons to set the coordinates.

Croma         Now let's see . . . you supposed to push this button here and then punch in the numbers . . . . .

Chocobo         Sigh . . . . (Thinking) Did you remember to bring the basket? It has our lunch.

Croma         . . . . . . . . .

Chocobo         . . . . . . (Thinking) You forgot didn't you?

Shirma         Croma! Sasami made it special for us; I told you to check before we came here.

Croma         Okay, okay I'll go get it. It should be in the kitchen right?

Shirma         Here I'll come with you.

Chocobo         (Thinking) I'll stay behind and set the coordinates since we're here.

Shirma/ Croma        Okay.

But just before the two mages left the room as Chocobo was about to finish the coordination to Great Bay when the machine turned on its own.

Chocobo         . . . . . . . . (Thinking) Croma?

Lights began to fill the room when one enormous flash of light burst forth blinding all three of them. Several seconds later when the light disappeared and they were able to see Croma and Shirma realized Chocobo was gone.

Croma         Uh – oh . . . . That can't be good.
Ok this is my first Assassins Creed story, I'd meant to post this up a lot earlier but the other stuff I wanted to do first was taking too long so I decided to post this up now and the others later.
Now you might be wandering what does this have anything to do with Assassins Creed and why does it have Final Fantasy characters in it? The storyline might be a bit confusing from the beginning but I will try and explain everything as soon as I can. So please be patient as part 2 (which will begin the Assassins Creed part) will come up soon.

I just realized this, in case you are not familiar with the Final Fantasy Fables Chocobo Tales or Chocobo Dungeon, that's where the three characters are from. According to the games Chocobo cannot really talk or he can't speak human speech, he can only make the same sounds a chocobo makes as in "Kweh" but his friends seem to know what he is saying anyway. And here I'm making him "think" his speech and Shirma and Croma seem to know what he is thinking.
So you might be wondering how is that possible? In my stories he does use chocobo sounds for communication but only his friends or other chocobos can understand him and he can (somehow) use telelpathy to communicate. Hence he is talking to Shirma and Croma with his mind.
When communicating to strangers he does neither and uses other means to communicate (writing, etc.) or doesn't communicate at all.

Chocobo, Shirma and Croma belong to Final Fantasy
